Food additive:
Makes refreshing acidity, prevents turbidity; assists in the retention of carbonation; enhances preservatives; masks the aftertaste of sweeteners, it gives a characteristic fruity flavor, extends the stability of vitamin C, reduces color; enhances the aromas; to sterilization with a time and temperature lower and buffering.
Pharmaceuticals:
In the effervescent is an essential component in the reaction with the bicarbonate, inhibits the oxidation of metals of Vitamin C, it gives a pleasant taste. In syrups stabilizes the active ingredients and adds flavor, it has expectorant action.
Cosmetic:
In shampoos, soaps and creams rinse, adjust the pH, helps in the formation of foam and rinse. In colonies, deodorants, lotions and creams reducing oxidation of aromatic compounds and undesirable browning; stabilizes emulsions.
