Currently, the most widely used surfactant in the world for detergents is the Sulphonic Acid, (C6H4(SO3H)(CS2)10CS3), also called LABSA - Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate Acid. This is a strong organic acid, obtained from the process of sulfonation alquiláteros, whose main advantages are:

The sulphonic acid is used in various types of liquid detergent formulations, pulp and laundry detergents (liquid and powder). This surfactant is indicated in the formulations to be used as an adjunct to the sulfonic acid, it helps in the formation of foam, with an interesting synergy.
