WHERE CAN BE USED

Currently, the most widely used surfactant in the world for detergents is the Sulphonic Acid, (C6H4(SO3H)(CS2)10CS3), also called LABSA - Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonate Acid. This is a strong organic acid, obtained from the process of sulfonation alquiláteros, whose main advantages are:

•  Great power-removing dirt,
•  Excellent solubility even at low temperatures
•  High power of foam
•  Biodegradable.

The sulphonic acid is used in various types of liquid detergent formulations, pulp and laundry detergents (liquid and powder). In the industrial and institutional, is used in washing clothes, cleaning of surfaces in the preparation of emulsions for lubrication fluids, pesticides and degreasers, and aeration of the concrete. This surfactant is indicated in the formulations to be used as an adjunct to the sulfonic acid, it helps in the formation of foam, with an interesting synergy.

Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (LABSA) - is main Raw Material in the formulation of Detergent industries. In other Industries like textile industries it is used as mercerising or washing agent for increasing the surface area of distempers.
